Day 12: Prague to Krakow
It was a long travel day. We were in the lobby of the Marriott in Prague by 7:45am and on the bus by 8am for our long bus ride across the Czech Republic and into Poland to arrive in Krakow, Poland. This would be the first of our six day extension to our cruise adventure. We had a full, 49-passenger first class bus to carry the 14 guests who were extending their trip. The planning was smooth as we stopped after about two hours for a break. Then about an hour and a half later we stopped in a small Czech town - where it was very quiet, even for a Sunday, for lunch. After the 90 minutes we were back on the road for another nearly two hours; quick stop and then the final 90 minutes to arrive in Krakow. Our Viking host offered to take us on an orientation walk but Kim & I and Pam & Bob opted to stay in the hotel for a happy hour and then an early dinner. Tomorrow will be a light day - the only one of the extension - as we have a "Panoramic Tour" of Krakow - half on bus, half a walking tour of the old town. Then the afternoon will be ours to recharge for the final push to the finish! It's our first time in Poland and we're excited to see what's here!
